International Youth Day’07  celebrated by BAYR

Bangladesh Association of Young Researchers (BAYR), a Dhaka University based only national youth research association celebrated international youth Day’2007 on 12 August 2007 at 3.00PM at Business Faculty Auditorium in the University of Dhaka, in cooperation with BASA, NFYOB and Youth forum for ICT Development. The Slogan of the day was “Be seen, Be heard: Youth participation for development”.

Prof. Dr. S.M. A Faiz, honorable Vice Chancellor of University of Dhaka & Chief advisor of BAYR, was the Chief Guest of that ceremony. At his speech he said- “Youth is the future of our nation. So we have to create opportunities for their participation in development Sector”.

BAYR Advisor and the Editor of the Daily New Nation Mostafa Kamal Mojumdar & Akbar uddin Ahmed, Director, Institute of Business Studies, Darul Ihsan University, were also attend as the special guest of that occasion. At their speech they emphasize on the proper guidance of youth and public awareness about this significant matter.

BAYR celebrated their day long program with various events. Workshop on youth employment and ICT, Stand up even, signature campaign and a rally was arranged for this purpose.
