THE CDR JOURNAL
The CDR Journal (a Journal of Center for Development Research) is the official organ of Center for Development Research and is devoted to the advancement and dissemination of the fundamental and applied knowledge of multi-disciplines in an accessible form to professional colleagues of the University of Dhaka who have a common interest in the field of research and development in this country and abroad.
The CDR Review will be issued/published twice a year, in June and December and beginning with the June each Year. Annual subscription (from June): Tk. , US $:
1. An advisor will always
offer valuable suggestions for the overall betterment of
The CDR Journal.
2. A Board of editors has been formed by nine CDR members to assist the Chief Editor and Executive Editor in bringing out the Journal.
3. The Journal accepts full-scale research papers and book reviews.
4. Manuscripts are accepted with understanding that they have not been and are not being published elsewhere. If a paper is prepared for presentation in a meeting or as a project work or a survey under an organization, due acknowledgement should be made and permission from authorities concerned should be submitted for publication.
5. Articles are evaluated by a panel of reviewers before their publications.
6.Two copies of articles preferably within 5,000 words, types double-spaced on one side of A4 size paper with one and half inches margin should be left on all sides, should be submitted. Each article must be accompanied with an abstract preferably not exceeding 150 words and some suitable keywords.
7. The style of the manuscripts should follow The Chicago Manual of Style, 14th ed. (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1993).

Colleagues,
You will be glad to know that Center for Development
Research (CDR), an organization of young teachers, University of Dhaka, is going
to publish a journal “THE CDR JOURNAL”. So you are requested to submit a
research paper or book review on any field of research and development. It is
also to be noted that a token honorarium will be provided to the contributors.
Guidelines
for Authors:
The
Journal will publish original articles on all aspects of research and
development.
Submission
Requirements
Two
copies of the manuscripts along with the soft copy in floppy disk or CD should
be submitted.

Format:
Manuscripts
should be preferably within 5000 words in length. All manuscripts must be word
processed and printed double spaced throughout (including notes and references)
on A4 white paper using one side, one and half inches margin should be left on
all sides. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts using Microsoft word for
hard copy and on a standard floppy disk or as an attached file with your mail.
The font type required is ‘Time New Roman, 11 pt. The first page of the
manuscript must contain the following information:
Title of the
article
Name(s) and
particulars of the author(s),
Complete address,
including telephone and fax number and email address.
The second page
of the manuscript should only contain the title of the article and an abstract
within 150 words. The text of the manuscript should begin with the title, and
must not contain the author’s name(s). This is to ensure anonymity during the
review process.
It
is the responsibility of the author to check the accuracy of all data,
statements and references.
It
is a condition of publication that manuscript submitted to the journal or review
has not been published, accepted for publication nor simultaneously submitted
for publication elsewhere. By submitting a manuscript, the author(s) agree that
copyright for the article is transferred to the publisher, if and the manuscript
is accepted for publication.
The
